Thank you for your inquiry. As far as ORP is concerned, it is of our opinion that ORP measurements themselves are relative, therefore, its not the actual ORP reading itself that is important, but the behavior of the probe. Does the ORP go down as water quality deteriorates and go up as water quality improves? Typically you monitor for a couple of weeks establish low, highs and baselines. Once "high" falls below baseline at night it typically indicates it is time for some tank maintenance change filter socks, carbon or GFO, or preform a water change.
With this being said, if you would like to calibrate the probe you will have to obtain some quinhydrone powder, pH4 and pH7 solution. You then dissolve the powder in the calibration solution till it no longer dissolves. We do not stock the quinhydrone powder due to its toxicity and cost. Therefore, you will need to source it from a scientific supply company.
