Bare for at der ikke er nogen misforståelser hvor jeg har tingene fra, vil jeg her læse lidt højt fra "the guide to starting a Marine aquarium" af David E. Boruchowitz.
"... While it is true for both saltwater and freshwater tanks that the larger the aquarium, the more forgiving it (and its inhabitants) will be of mistakes you make, for marine tanks it is doubly so. The natural marine environment is a much more complex and stable one than freshwater lakes and streams: the marine aquarium on the other hand, is potentialle a terrible unstable environment, one lacking in many of the natural buffers and controls that, while adding to the complexity, also preserve a safe, hospitable, unchanging environment for its inhabitants. Thus when we're talking about a saltwater tank, instead of the bigger the better, think: the bigger the best.
The absolute minimum for a beginner is a 20-gallon aquarium, and a 30-gallon or more would be preferable. This is not to say even the smallest aquaria cannot be used for marine setups, but they should only be atempted be experienced saltwater hobbyists. Even if it seems counteractive to you, its true that the larger the tank, the simpler its care - and the easier time you will have of it."
Det var vist nogenlunde hvad Kim sagde, at alt kan lade sig gøre, bare at det er sværere at holde hvis man har et lille et.
Ligeså forklarer det, at "...The factor that determines the carrying capacity of an aquaria, all other things being equal, is not the volume of water but its surface volume, since that is where the gas exchange takes place... there is nothing wrong with any shape or size of an aquarium - as long as its constraints are understood, you can select any tank you want, but you must concern yourself with the surface area and respect the limitations of the tank you choose."
Puha nu gider jeg ikke skrive mere

Håber det svarer på dit spørgsmål og giver dig en ide omkring hvorfor et større akvarie er bedre. Samme årsag til jeg får lavet et 300 liters akvarie med stor overflade specielt snart
